THIS summer holidays marked the end of my first year as a medical student at a university in Britain. As happy as I was to return to Malaysia and to finally see my family again after being away for one whole year, I nosed around for projects to get involved in to fill my time during the break.
That’s when I joined a group of medical students who were planning a relief mission in Aceh, Indonesia, under the Islamic Medical Association Malaysia (IMAM).
